god's promises

The following narrative is a very condensed review of God's promises regarding the Jewish people. It is hoped that it will inspire readers to research the Bible for many other scriptures that support these and other promises to Jewish and all other peoples.

  • Abraham's Jewish nation was "chosen" by God, but for what were they chosen? (see Isaiah 49:6)

  • As an "everlasting covenant," what land mass did God give to Abraham and his Jewish descendants? (see Genesis 15:18)

  • Were other people affected by the covenant that God made with the Jewish people? (see Genesis 12:3)

  • What kind of lives did God demand from the Jewish people? (Leviticus 20:26 & Deuteronomy 28:9), and what punishment would result if they failed? (Deuteronomy 4:27, 30-31 & Jeremiah 2:19; 30:11)

  • Why have the Jewish people survived throughout ages of persecution but now are established in the original land area that God promised them thousands of years ago? (Deuteronomy 4:27; Jeremiah 33:26)

  • Has God vowed to protect the Jewish people from total annihilation? (Deuteronomy 4:27; Jeremiah 30:11; II Chronicles 7:14)

  • Now that Israel is recognized as the Jewish nation how should they be treated by others (Genesis 12:3), and now what is God's plan for the Jews? (Ezekiel 28:25; Deuteronomy 30:3; Jeremiah 31:33; 32:42-44 & 33:26; Hebrews 10:16)

  • How should we treat the Jews now? (Genesis 12:3; Romans chapters 9, 10 &11)
